Job Details:

Minimum requirements are as follows:
• 1000 hours PIC time on A320
• Total time 3000 hours
• Valid ATP license with no limitations, valid passport, Class A Medical
• Maximum age 50.  CAAC license holders will be considered up to age 57.

• Must be from a country which has diplomatic relations with China
• ICAO English level 4 certification
• Last flight on type within 6 months

Domicile: Hangzhou, China (100 miles SW of Shanghai)

Contract Term: 3 years, renewable

Contract Options: Loong Air will offer 4 flexible scheduling options for A320 Captains. All amounts are AFTER TAX.

Option A (Live in China) – 45 days off per year: $25,833 per month
Option B – Commuting 6 weeks on/2 weeks off: $23,667 per month
Option C – Commuting 6 weeks on/3 weeks off: $21,783 per month
Option D - Commuting  4 weeks on/4 weeks off:  $17,167 per month

Includes base salary, travel allowance, safety bonus and annual bonus

• Base salary:
   o Option A: $21,000/mo.  (80 hours per month)
   o Option B: $19,000/mo.  (75 hours per month)
   o Option C: $17,500/mo.  (70 hours per month)
   o Option D: $13,500/mo.  (70 hours per month)
• Additional benefits
   o Housing Allowance: Option A: $1,500/mo., Option B: $1,500/mo.  Option C: $1,200/mo. Option D: $1,000/mo
   o Travel Allowance: $500/mo.
  o Transportation Allowance: $500/mo.
  o Safety bonus:
     -Option A: $16,000/yr
     -Option B: $14,000/yr
     -Option C: $13,000/yr
     -Option D: $8,000./yr

o Annual Bonus

- First Year:  $10,000
- Second Year: $12,000
- Third Year: $14,000

o Overtime: $350/hr.

• Training pay: $400/day for 60 days.  80% of the base salary and full allowances if ground training exceeds 60 days. Hotel provided during training.  Full pay from pasing the line training, and receiving official notice that you are a qualified Captain.

NEW!!  Interview Allowance
Loong will provide $400 per day for each day you were in China for the screening process if you are successful.  Typically, the screening process will be about 6 days (Medical check, ATP test, company sim, and CAAC checkride). You would receive $2,400 upon successfully reporting to training, and registering at the Loong office.

Note about Compensation and Taxation:
The compensation amounts listed above have been provided by the airline.  The airline has agreed to pay all taxes owed in China on the different compensation amounts and provide a tax receipt to the pilot. All tax matters are handled by the airline including payment of tax and provision of a tax receipt. WASINC does not pay taxes on behalf of either the pilot or airline, nor does it provide tax receipts.  As taxes in China vary by jurisdiction and the type of payment received, we highly recommend that all candidates confirm directly with the airline as to how much tax is paid in China in order to obtain a full understanding of the compensation associated with the job listing.  Pilots are ultimately responsible for any tax owed in their home country which may or may not be affected by tax paid by the airline.


Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co., Ltd. was established on 19 Aril 2011 with approval by the Civil Aviation Administration of China(CAAC). As a multifunctional air transport company, Zhejiang Loong Airlines provides both passenger and cargo transport service. Its flight operations are based out of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport in Zhejiang province. The establishment of Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co., Ltd. is a milestone that Zhejiang, a powerful economic province, has put an end to the history of no local civil aviation, and embraces the new era of aviation development.
On 16 February 2013, the company was given approval by CAAC to enter the passenger transport market, and to change its name from CDI Cargo Airlines Ltd. to Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co., Ltd. On 26 July 2013, Loong Airlines received the new Public Air Transport Business Certificate to enlarge the business scope to cover domestic passenger transport, domestic (including Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan) and international cargo and mail air transport. The main business includes domestic passenger air transport, domestic and international cargo air transport, air express, aircraft maintenance, extended service of passenger and cargo air transport.
On 9 August 2012, the airline commenced operation of cargo transport. It launched successively Hangzhou-Qingdao-Guangzhou route, Hangzhou-Qingdao-Changchun route, and Kunming-Guangzhou-Nantong-Kunming route. In December 2013, the first two A320 aircraft landed in Hangzhou. On 29 December 2013, Zhejiang Loong Airlines introduced its first passenger flight with complete success, and then established passenger transport routes from Hangzhou to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Xi’an, Yinchuan, Luoyang successively.
In the first half of year 2014, the airline plans to order 4 brand new Airbus A320 which will be delivered and start operation in March, April, May and June respectively. In the latter half, 3 more passenger aircrafts will be ordered. By then, the passenger fleet will consist of 12 aircrafts, including 9 A320 passenger aircrafts and 3 B737 cargo aircrafts. On 20 December 2013, Zhejiang Loong Airlines has officially signed an agreement with Airbus for the purchase of 20 Airbus A320 series aircrafts which shall be delivered and start flying by 2020. The airline plans to increase destinations of Beijing, Qingdao, Kunming, Xiamen, Lanzhou, Nanchang, Guilin, Urumchi, Nanning, Xining, Hohhot, Sanya, Haikou, Shijiazhuang, Guiyang and so on, in this way to expand its airline networks and enhance its competitive edge.
