A320 Captain for West Air
3 year contract term
Job Details:

Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • 1000 hours PIC time on A320, 
  • 5000 hours total time
  • Current within 12 months (must have a valid/current PC)
  • Valid ATP license, valid passport, Class A Medical
  • Must be from a country with diplomatic ties to China
  • No incidents or accidents, no license limitations
  •  Age 50 maximum (up to 55 considered based on experience level)

Domicile: Chongqing or Zhengzhou, China

Contract Term: 3 years, renewable.
 

Option 1:   weeks on, 1 week off

Total Compensation:$14,853 per month (including salary, allowance, and bonus)

  • Base salary: $2,000 per month after line check

  • $833 per month Safety Bonus (paid annually
  • $500 per month Travel reimbursement (paid every 6 months)

  • $144 per flight hour (average 80 hours per month during normal operations) $115 per hour during line training

Option 2:  20 days on, 10 days off per month.

Total Compensation:$14,603 per month (including salary, allowance, and bonus)

  •  Base salary: $1,750 per month after line check
  • $500 per month Travel reimbursement (paid every 6 months
  • $833 per month safety bonus  (paid annually)
  • $144 per flight hour (average 80 hours per month during normal operations) $115 per hour during line training.

Sick Leave: 7 days per year.

Travel Benefits:  Unlimited jump-seat on West Air and Hainan Airlines domestic routes for pilots;
Unlimited standby tickets on West Air and Hainan Airline flight for pilots and their family member (unconfirmed tickets, economy class…tax not included)

Additional Information: 

West Air will provide you a letter regarding their payment of taxes in China. Expat status may dramatically reduce your national tax liability. Consult your CPA for tax advice.

Note about Compensation and Taxation:
The compensation amounts listed above have been provided by the airline.  The airline has agreed to pay all taxes owed in China on the different compensation amounts and provide a tax receipt to the pilot. All tax matters are handled by the airline including payment of tax and provision of a tax receipt. WASINC does not pay taxes on behalf of either the pilot or airline, nor does it provide tax receipts.  As taxes in China vary by jurisdiction and the type of payment received, we highly recommend that all candidates confirm directly with the airline as to how much tax is paid in China in order to obtain a full understanding of the compensation associated with the job listing.  Pilots are ultimately responsible for any tax owed in their home country which may or may not be affected by tax paid by the airline.
