World-class pay and benefits
Job Details:

Minimum requirements are as follows:

  • 500 hours PIC time on A319/320/321 
  • Total time 2200 hours
  • Current within 12 months (must have a valid/current PC)
  • Valid ATP license, valid passport, Class A Medical
  • Must be from a country with diplomatic ties to China
  • No incidents or accidents, no license limitations
  •  Age 55 maximum 

Domicile – Guilin, China

Contract term:  3 years, renewable.

Salary amounts as follows:

Total Compensation (airline pays tax in China...see note below): UP TO $303,660 per year! (includes all bonuses and allowances)

NEW!  Signing Bonus for CAAC license holders...$20,000.00


Three Contract Options:

Resident 1:  Living in China  (90 days paid annual leave, OR 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off…based on 900 flight hours)

Total Compensation: $25,305 per month

Base salary: $21,895/mo

Meal and Transportation:    $ 910/mo

Travel Allowance:  $1,000/mo

Overtime: $280/hr. over 900 hours

Annual Bonus:  1st year…$12,000.  2nd year: $18,000. 3rd + years: $24,000.

Education allowance:  $500/mo per child (2 maximum) for schooling in China

Insurance: Medical insurance provided for pilot.  Family may join for additional payment.

Flight stoppage insurance: $120 per day, or $227,000 if permanently grounded.

Sick Leave:  5 days

Line Instructor fee:  $500/mo.
Simulator instructor fee: $1000/mo

Travel benefits:  ID75 tickets provided for pilot and family on Air Guilin and Hainan domestic flights.    Jumpseat on Air Guilin and Hainan domestic flights for pilot.

Option for “no base:”  $500/mo. additional pay.

Resident 2:  Living in China (120 days of paid annual leave...OR 20 days on, 10 consecutive days off per month…based on 800 flight hours)

Total Compensation: $21,805 per month

Base salary: $18,395/mo

Meal and Transportation:    $ 910/mo

Travel Allowance:  $1,000 per month

Overtime: $280/hr. over 800 hours

Annual Bonus:  1st year…$12,000.  2nd year: $18,000. 3rd + years: $24,000.

Education allowance:  $500/mo per child (2 maximum) for schooling in China

Commuter 1:  15 days on, 15 days off per month…based on 700 flight hours per year

Total Compensation: $17,351 per month

Base salary: $14,171/mo

Meal and Transportation:    $ 680/mo

Travel Allowance:  $1,000 per month

Overtime: $280/hr. over 900 hours

Annual Bonus:  1st year…$12,000.  2nd year: $18,000. 3rd + years: $24,000.

Education allowance:  $500/mo per child (2 maximum) for schooling in China

Training Pay:  60% during ground training (max 60 days), and 80% during line training (max 90 days).


Additional Information:

Chinese income taxes will be paid by Air Guilin. Expat status may dramatically reduce your national tax liability. Consult your CPA for tax advice.

Note about Compensation and Taxation:
The compensation amounts listed above have been provided by the airline.  The airline has agreed to pay all taxes owed in China on the different compensation amounts and provide a tax receipt to the pilot. All tax matters are handled by the airline including payment of tax and provision of a tax receipt. WASINC does not pay taxes on behalf of either the pilot or airline, nor does it provide tax receipts.  As taxes in China vary by jurisdiction and the type of payment received, we highly recommend that all candidates confirm directly with the airline as to how much tax is paid in China in order to obtain a full understanding of the compensation associated with the job listing.  Pilots are ultimately responsible for any tax owed in their home country which may or may not be affected by tax paid by the airline.
